September 18th Announcements

The Bakersfield Chapter of The Links, Incorporated will be putting on the National Award Winning "Links' Leadership Steam Academy Left Brain & Right Brain Program".  This is a Steam program for fifth- twelfth grade students.  It will be held Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Emerson Middle School Cafeteria. Stop by the Career Center for more information.

 

Are you interested in being a Junior Volunteer with Adventist Health?  The winter/spring session is about to start.  The Junior Volunteer Program offers various opportunities for service.  No former volunteer experience is required. Stop by the Career Center to get more information. Applications are due September 20, so don't wait.

 

Attention Juniors: The PSAT will be offered at Frontier during the morning of Wednesday, October 16th. To register you must pay $18.00 in the finance office. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, October 9th, but don’t wait because we only have 150 slots available and it will be first come first served. Please check the school website for all other testing dates and information.

 

Freshman homecoming float meeting TODAY during lunch in the PAC.  Make sure you eat your lunch before you come.  NO food allowed in the PAC.

Cornhole enthusiasts - listen up! Girls’ soccer is sponsoring a cornhole tournament on September 28th. If you would like to participate, put together a team and email Coach Meadows to the address on the screen [email protected] to pre-register. The cost is $50 per team. Location will be announced once you pre-register. This is a tournament open to all ages, so sign up now!

 

Attention students... Districts Make the Difference has a scholarship opportunity...  They are holding a video contest for this scholarship.  The contest submission period will run from May 1 to September 30.  All submissions are entered in the statewide contest videos must be 60-90 seconds in length.  Stop by the Career Center to find out more information.

 

Attention all freshman!  Homecoming shirts are on sale now.  Cost is $15 and can be ordered through the finance office through tomorrow.  Once you have paid for your shirt, take your receipt to Mrs. Moreno in room 1013 or Mrs. Arvizu or Mrs. Pattison in the front office.

 

If you are interested in going out for any sports team, you will need to complete the sports packets online now. Just go to the Frontier High School web page under athletics and all the forms are there. If you have questions, please come in the Athletic/ASB office for the instructions.

 

If you are interested in traveling to Europe in June 2020, Señorita Nelson and Mrs. Cornford have an amazing opportunity for you! They will be taking students to Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and France this summer. To get more information and learn how to enroll, please go to rooms 807 or 218. The last day to enroll on this trip is September 30.
