The USDA School Breakfast Program currently serves 14 million students daily day. Kern High School District serves an average of 8000 - 9000 breakfasts each school day.
The career center now has the applications for the Adventist Health Junior Volunteer program. This is a 6 month commitment which will begin on Sunday, June 2 and end in Saturday, December 1st. Stop by the career center for more information.
CSUB Department of Nursing will host a Health Careers Conference at BHS Harvey Auditorium on March 9th from 9 am to 1 pm, 2019. The purpose for the event is to inspire middle and high school students to consider health care careers as career options. It is a free event with free food.
Congressmen, Kevin McCarthy, will be hosting a Service Academy Forum for students in the 23rd Congressional District interested in attending one of the United States Service Academies. This forum will be help on Saturday, March 23, at the Kern County Board of Supervisors Chambers, 1115 Truxtun Avenue, from 11-12.
