September 5th Announcements

Calling ALL DANCERS! We are looking for dance numbers for our 2nd annual Titans Can Dance! show. If you and your friends are interested in participating in our show, there will be a short informational meeting after school in the PAC – TODAY - at 2:45 SHARP!  We are looking for group numbers and solo pieces. All dance styles are welcome!

 

BSU will be holding its 1st meeting today, September 5th, in room 221 during both lunches. If you are interested grab your lunch head to room 221.

 

Westmont College, University of the Pacific, Carroll College, Oklahoma State University, University of Hawaii Monoa, Montana Tech and University of Redlands will be on campus on Monday and Tuesday September 9th and 10th. If you are interested in getting more information on any of these colleges, sign up in the Career Center to meet with them.

 

Attention Juniors: The PSAT will be offered at Frontier during the morning of Wednesday, October 16th. To register you must pay $18.00 in the finance office. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, October 9th, but don’t wait because we only have 150 slots available and it will be first come first served. Please check the school website for all other testing dates and information.

Cornhole enthusiasts - listen up! Girls soccer is sponsoring a cornhole tournament on September 28th. If you would like to participate, put together a team and email Coach Meadows to the address on the screen [email protected] to preregister. The cost is $50 per team. Location will be announced once you preregister. This is a tournament open to all ages, so sign up now!

 

Attention all Freshmen!  There will be a float meeting TODAY during lunch in room 1013.  We will be voting on our theme for homecoming!  Bring your lunch and a friend.

 

Girls soccer fundraiser night at Mesa Grill - September 12th - grab a meal at Mesa all day long and 25% of your bill will go to the team. See a soccer player to get a flyer.

 

The Bakersfield Chapter of The Links, Incorporated will be putting on the National Award Winning "Links' Leadership Steam Academy Left Brain & Right Brain Program".  This is a Steam program for fifth- twelfth grade students.  It will be held Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Emerson Middle School Cafeteria. Stop by the Career Center for more information.

 

Seniors -- Homecoming float meeting at lunch in room 1107. Meeting will start 5 minutes after the bell, so grab your lunch and get there ASAP.

 

Are you interested in being a Junior Volunteer with Adventist Health?  The winter/spring session is about to start.  The Junior Volunteer Program offers various opportunities for service.  No former volunteer experience is required. Stop by the Career Center to get more information. Applications are due September 20, so don't wait.
