Congressman, Kevin McCarthy, will be hosting a Service Academy Forum for students in the 23rd Congressional District interested in attending one of the United States Service Academies. This forum will be help on Saturday, March 23, at the Kern County Board of Supervisor' Chambers, 1115 Truxtun Avenue from 11-12. Chevron and Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce are seeking eligible high school students who are interested in the Energy and Agriculture sectors. This is a five-session academy, hosted at Bakersfield College, introduces students to local professionals, careers, and other features from these industries.
