  5. American Copy Editors Society Scholarship: Is available to junior, senior and graduate students who will take full-time copy editing jobs or internships.
  6. AORN Foundation Scholarship: Is for students studying to be nurses and preoperative nurses pursuing undergrad and graduate degrees.
  7. Automotive Hall of Fame Scholarship: Is for students who indicate a sincere interest in an automotive related career.

  19. Development Fund for Black Students in Science and Technology: Is for students studying science or technology at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

    SCHOLARSHIP SEARCH ENGINES & COLLEGE-KNOWLEDGE WEBSITES
ZINCH: Zinch.com is a popular social network portal with resource for connecting with college and university admission representatives from around the nation. They also offer an excellent scholarship engine where you can make particular scholarships a “favorite”, apply for them, and once you win ZINCH DOUBLES IT!
 
FASTWEB: FastWeb.com is one of the oldest and most popular scholarship search engines out there. Most nation scholarships-giving entities list their scholarships here.

 
COLLEGE REALITY CHECK: CRC is new website designed to assist families to compare colleges and universities nationally, and across a myriad of factors, including net price, graduation rates, and average student loan debt after graduation.

 
KHAN ACADEMY: Khan Academy (KA) is a FREE information-rich website designed to allow anyone to master knowledge areas using video technology that simultaneously stimulates a variety of learning senses and modalities (e.g., audio, visual, repetition, summarization, etc.).  Simply put, the KA online video lessons show and tell you how it all works – over and over again until you master it!  They currently provide videos lessons to help you master multiple areas of math, science, economics, computer science, humanities, as well as standardized test preparation.

III. GOVERNMENT AND CAMPUS-BASED FINANCIAL SUPPORT RESOURCES:
 
  1. FAFSA: www.fafsa.ed.gov is the main application used to assess families for sate and federal financial aid at accredited colleges and universities nationwide. Everyone should AT LEAST APPLY for financial aid using this resource!
     
  2. BOG FEE WAIVER: Board of Governor’s Fee Waiver is available at all California community colleges, if you qualify for the BOG fee waiver using this simple application, ALL YOUR ENROLLMENT FEES WILL BE WAIVED, as long as you continue to qualify.
  3.  EOPS: EOPS Programs are available at nearly all California community colleges, and similar programs are available at most public (UC & CSU) and private colleges and universities. At the 4-year university level, they may call the program EOP, or it might be called something very different (e.g., At UCLA, it is called the Academic Advancement Program (AAP). They work in conjunction with all sectors of the larger college or university infrastructure to provide a myriad of support services including, but not limited to, counseling, book grants, education abroad, research opportunities, internships, transfer & graduation support and field trips to top universities throughout the state.
  4. TRANSFER CENTERS: Transfer Centers are available at nearly all California community colleges. They work in conjunction with other college support services to provide a myriad of support services including, but not limited to, counseling, book grants, transfer support and field trips to top universities throughout the state.
